I am a South African born sound recordist and production mixer based in Cape Town, South Africa. I work throughout Africa and worldwide on a wide range of film and television projects.
Always having a passion for technical disciplines as well as storytelling, I have been engaged in professional audio since 2002 and as a sound recordist since 2005. To date I have worked in 17 countries across 5 continents on widely varying productions from actuality, to corporate, to scripted feature films as well as commercials. I have also lived and worked for extended periods in London and New York City. Although I often work on feature films, network episodics and commercials my first loves are natural history and cinema verite.
I am an active member of the US Cinema Audio Society since 2010 and I was part of a nomination for Best Documentary Sound in 2010 for the film “Woodstock Now and Then” directed by New York based Academy award winner, Barbara Kopple.
I pride myself in being versatile and always dedicated to achieving the best clean audio for every shot and technically always having a solution for every demanding production situation. I am also an easygoing and cooperative team player with a sense of humour and an ability to perform under tough conditions.
